Before continuing, let us tell you that the game’s Ultra preset is not its Max settings.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is mostly a GPU-bound title. There are also options for Chromatic Abberration Film Grain, Render Scale and Field of View. PC gamers can adjust the quality of Textures, Anti-Aliasing, Ambient Occlusion, Post Process, Texture Filtering, Lighting, Shadows, Effects, Mesh, Shader, Terrain and Vegetation. Mass Effect: Andromeda comes with a nice set of graphics settings to tweak. NVIDIA has already included an official SLI profile for Mass Effect: Andromeda in its latest driver, meaning that you won’t have to mess around with third-party tools (like the NVIDIA Inspector Tool) in order to enable it. If, however and for whatever reason, you are still using an older version of the GeForce drivers, you can enable SLI by using these SLI compatibility bits.

So, time now to see how this new title performs on the PC platform.įor this PC Performance Analysis, we used an Intel i7 4930K (turbo boosted at 4.2Ghz) with 8GB RAM, NVIDIA’s GTX980Ti and GTX690, Windows 10 64-bit and the latest WHQL version of the GeForce drivers. We also know that the game has been slightly downgraded from its E3 2016 build. And… well… by now we all know that the game suffers from some really hilarious animations and mediocre lip-syncing. Where double / temporal works quite ok considering temporal have to xfer prev frame back and forth between the cards and an nvidia double sli bridge seems to be enough for quite acceptable min/avg fps.Mass Effect: Andromeda was perhaps the most anticipated game of this year’s first quarter. As tripple buffering is superior to double buffering in every aspect except gpu ram requirements :-)Īctually no, proper triple buffering as long as the vram can afford it runs great on one card and is usually what i recommend myself but me:a's implementation with multiple cards / temporal aa causes frame time issues. I think you mean you changed from double-buffering to tripple buffering.

The above along with some minor tweaks to light/shadow and the game is both responsive yet really beautiful If you mean Win10-64bit vs Win10-32bit market share then this is something else.ġ9504927 said:Personally i'we disabled the motion blur (need to make a cfg file, google it).Ĭhanged to HALF16 instead of Compressed to get less washed out gfx that have more depth to itĬhanged to Double-buffering from Trippe-buffering to get rid of the console like high latency in the game = Much faster response and it also appeared to give a better frame pacing.ģ440x1440 running with around 80-90 fps depending on area (gsyned 100 hz), no stuttering after the above was fixed.

Windows 10 has around 47% of market share, you sure about this? I mean so far all what I heard and by googling the 47% market share is for Windows 7 and not Windows 10. I know this is not a GPU benchmark but since you include FPS/CPU/Memory it is a way to benchmark computer hardware. While on Medium settings the Rx 480 is faster by around 10FPS. The results they got is that MSI RX 480 is slightly higher FPS than MSI 1060 (which is 300Mhz higher) on Ultra.

The problem I see is that you didn't eliminate the CPU bottleneck which affects the GPU performance as well, for example PCGamer used different setup to eliminate the CPU bottleneck and all GPUs used where MSI. Yes, The 1050 and 460 are the worst for this game, but the other GPUs are not. Hmmm.I dont think this article is accurate when it comes to GPUs FPS.
